Hotel Workers March in DC

On December 15 in Washington, D.C., hotel workers, members of UNITE HERE, and their supporters marched from the AFL-CIO headquarters to a number of hotels where the workers have threatened to strike.

Hey RO,
I think we are going to see more strikes in the next 4 years. What a Bummer.
Did you see the NLRB's ruling on the Crown Bolt issue? As you may know...the 3 Bushitler's appointees set us back...again. Here is the link: http://www.nlrb.gov/nlrb/shared_files/weekly/w2977.htm

Also...I found this link that will get you on a union weblog and they make a bug for your site...check it out and pass it on to other union bloggers!!

Patriot thanks for the links, especially the union weblog one.

Between Bush's union-busting NLRB and his anti-organized labor propoganda mouthpiece Schwarzenegger, its pretty obvious to see what we are facing in the coming years.

We need to get "Card Check" legislation back on the Hill in 05, personally I think its a do or die bill for us union folks and anyone else out there who wants a union at their work place.

Thanks again for the info.

Would you be interested in me sending you some information about a campaign we are kicking off in Jan. concerning reforming bankruptcy laws and trying to get legislation passed that protects union contracts when corporations file bankruptcy.

Any info you send me is greatly appreciated. The Bankruptcy info would tie in real well with the United Airlines problems at Denver International.
